Pioneers Post, the UK social enterprise magazine, has published the second part of the two-piece Gearing Up photo diary. The British Council asked us to provide images and text for this piece. You can find the article here.

In December 2016 we were invited for coffee at the British Embassy in Vientiane, Laos to meet the British Ambassador, Hugh Evans. Lao National Television interviewed us while we were there.

10th November 2016

We were featured on Hanoi TV’s evening news meeting the social enterprise Kym Viet and leaving the city on our bikes. Kym Viet, founded by three men with physical disabilities, exclusively employ women with hearing impediments to create beautiful, handmade toys for children. They won the British Council Social Enterprise Inclusivity Award in recognition of their work. The programme starts at 5 minutes 12 seconds.

6th November 2016

We were featured on Vietnam TV1 – VTV came with us when we met a social enterprise called Green Generation who produce efficient and affordable stoves as a replacement for traditional open fires that the majority of the Vietnamese population use for cooking. The programme focuses on the importance of sustainability, the transformative role social enterprises can play in society and why we started Gearing Up. The programme starts at 6 minutes 5 seconds.
